A duct leakage tester is a diagnostic tool designed to measure the air tightness of forced air heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) ductwork. A duct leakage tester consists of a calibrated fan for measuring an air flow rate and a pressure sensing device to measure the pressure created by the fan flow.
Duct Testing Machine is used to test the leakage of the Duct pipe. An HMI screen is used in order to give the values. Here, for satisfying the two conditions (i.e., Flow rate & Pressure) in order to perform the test. Based on conditions Static Pressure is greater than or equal to Test pressure and the permit leakage be with in cmf/100 sq. ft. If any one of the conditions fails or both the conditions fail the status will be shown as Rejected in the HMI screen. If both the conditions get satisfied then the Status displays as Accepted in the HMI screen. In this way the Duct test is performed.
Pressure Switches has been used here to detect duct pressure, leakage pressure and actual pressure. HMI Screen is also used for easy operation of the machine Plc based autologin is used by keep set points in logic to test the duct effectively and in quality way. A printing module is used to print the test report.
